An Invitation to Return to Blogging….

Welcome to my “soon to be”, “new and improved” blogging home.

I’m so excited.

I feel like I’m one of those singers who just jumped off the stage into the awaiting arms of her biggest fans. Yes…totally body surfing through the crowds. I have missed this blogging audience and I’m so eager to reconnect with those who I have missed. I am equally excited to introduce myself to those who have just started following me on this platform.

I have spent the past three years building up a presence on Instagram. I love Instagram and the tremendous faith community that I have found there. I have no intention of leaving, in fact, I am hoping to continue to grow my followers there. You can follow me here http://www.instagram/chasingtimeanddrinkingwine as I will continue to be an active presence there as well. But lately, I have been feeling a tug on my heart to write a little more than an Instagram post will allow. Sometimes I can get very passionate about something the Lord is placing on my heart and want to use a platform to share my thoughts.

Which brings me to my first sharing point: I am changing the name and design of my blog.

Why change the blog name?

Sometimes the Lord can shake us up where we are. Everyday life as we know it can change and we can suddenly feel inadequate in our current space. We buy bigger homes, we change out our furniture for newer trends, and sometimes we downsize from a minivan to a smaller vehicle as the kids grow up. Change is inevitable. But sometimes, change can bring about new and exciting truths to be shared.

“See, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? In the wilderness I make a way, in the wasteland, rivers.”

Isaiah 43:19

Blogging has always been something that I have enjoyed. For the past three years, I have been a regular contributor of blog posts over at http://www.littlewithgreatlove.com, which is a woman’s restoration ministry. This beautiful ministry journeys with women through blog posts, podcasts, you tube, and instagram to share the challenges of parenthood, marriage, health issues, mental and spiritual development and other areas of struggle. These ladies have become a sisterhood for me, and for so many others who journey along with us.

In the past few months, I feel like the Lord has been calling me back to my own blog. Back to the heart of my own thoughts and the whispers of his goodness over my life and my family.

For the past year, the Lord has allowed me to remain pretty “hidden”. There has been no consistency to my personal writing nor any direction of where the Lord was leading me. The Lord was quieting my voice so He could probe the deepest parts of my heart. Over the past two years, the Lord has shown me the depths of His love for me and reminded me of His faithfulness and care. He has probed my heart and found a little stream of love that He wants to make a river flow from.

He wants this river to flow from Him, through me, ……over you.

He has so much that he wants me to pour out about His love for you and His care for you.

We have a world that wants us to be distracted by everything that will try and destroy our peace. The noise level is so high. We choose to combat noise with more noise.

The Lord wants us to find the quiet places within our soul where he awaits us.

So let us pull up a chair, as the table is set before us, as the blog is getting a new look and a new name over the next few weeks.

Excited to see what “feast” the Lord will place before us in the form of posts and scripture.

Join me weekly as we gather around the banquet table of the Lord and feast on His goodness.

“He sets a table before me in the presence of mine enemies, He anoints my head with oil, my cup overflows. ” – Psalm 23
