Birthdays
As a child, birthdays were not a big tradition in our family. We usually had a nice cake when Dad came home from work, and mom let us take “goodie bags” or chocolate cupcakes into school to share with our classmates.
I love birthdays. I think a lot of it comes from really trying to procure a “pro-life” culture in our home. It’s a great way, when raising a big family, to allow your child to have their “time to shine”.
